GTHC Predicts, Burnley at Home
No Shock here from the Thatch headed one! the very predictable 2-0 from the silly old cunt, mind you this is a game we should win if we have any real ambition of finishing top 8, the mid week Cup game may have been played on bit of a bog with all that rain, but need to improve on that perfomance to get anything against the Clarets, hope we do, so 3-0 West Ham...........COYI

As ever, Burnley were extremely competitive against Manchester United on Tuesday and it took a moment of high quality from Paul Pogba to beat them.

The Clarets don't change, and they will make things difficult for West Ham on Saturday too but they have been short of goals on the road with just four in eight league games so far this season.

I don't see them creating much here, either. West Ham have been playing well and they should pick up three points.

Lawro's prediction: 2-0

Wrong, but 1-0 will do nicely.

This is definitely one of the games we need to win to give some hope of a decent final placing.

Given our position in the table, its fucking pivotal.

Win, could climb a few places, plus confidence builds for the next game.

The usual, scrape a draw or lose and the drop in confidence will be matched with league position.

Its about fucking time we had a good year.

2-0.

bonus related. needed a 10th goal to fleece a few notes from Sulli's wallet. Which is fine by me.

Westside: Burnley have won 4 of the last 5 against us which does make them something of a bogey team.

I'm doubting Antonio will be on his top game anyways, he takes at least half a dozen games to be back to the beast he can be......

Antonio took the Man Utd pen when we drew with them. That shook me. Noble was playing then.

"Tarkowski will give away a pen. Antonio will score it."

Would Antonio be our penalty taker? I reckon it might be CRESSERS if Noble isn't on the pitch.

They’ll defend and we’ll struggle to break them down

Dyche’s first instruction will be too nobble Antonio. Can’t see anything but a 1-1

Seeing as we have had 3 clean sheets in a row and have look sound defesively whilst Burnley can't score for toffee
3-3
2-2 at half time
early goals.
We will miss a penalty too.

Re: GTHC Predicts, Burnley at Home
We need to set about them from the off and score early, that way they won't be able to play 11 at the back for 90 minutes. As others have said it would be nice to get a penalty, in fact it would be a miracle! No idea who might take it?

1-0 to the Hammers

Canning - yes, I have a feeling we might get a penalty for once. Burnley will be trying all the dirty tricks on our set pieces. Anyone know who our penalty taker is these days?

Bogey team Burnley

As we have won 10 and drawn 4, of our 20 matches with Burnley, wish we had a few more bogey teams like that.

Being this is West Ham, we can of course lose to any team, at any time.

How about us getting a penalty awarded for a change, that would be good. Who’s the ref?

Bogey team Burnley.Away win on the cards unless we actually start taking our chances.

Re: GTHC Predicts, Burnley at Home
Westside - Agree generally, but with this lot I think the longer it stays 0-0 we will run out of ideas, energy etc, and they will frustrate and play for a draw. Against clubs higher up they would also be pressing for a win leaving the game more open.

Re: GTHC Predicts, Burnley at Home
Could well be a 0-0, definitely a low scoring game. But I can see Super Tommy Soucek rising for a majestic header from a set piece. We need to get Bowen and Benrahma to run at them and pick up free kicks.

Westside 11:40 Fri Jan 15
Re: GTHC Predicts, Burnley at Home
This looks like one of these games where the longer it stays 0-0 they will nick it 0-1 or it will finish 0-0. So need to score reasonably early.

As we are in fact, joint top, of the table, for goals scored in the last 10 minutes of a match, not so sure scoring early, is as important, as it used to be for us. Especially with no crowds.
